Transformer Tests
Dr. Trafo has the Service Competence Certificate approved by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE). In this context, we are a company that has the opportunity and competence of transformer maintenance and testing.
TTR (CONVERSION RATIO) TEST
We use TTR (Transformer Turning Ratio) device to control the turns ratios between high voltage and low voltage windings in transformers. As a result of the test, the correctness of the connections in the transformers is checked.
INSULATION (DIELECTRIC) TEST
We observe the insulation resistance measurement results obtained by applying 5000V and 2500V voltages between the conductor and insulator parts of the transformers for a certain period of time with insulation test devices.
IDLE (OPEN CIRCUIT) LOSS TEST
During the test, the high voltage windings are left open circuit by applying the rated voltage to the low voltage terminals of the transformer. No-load (no-load) loss tests are applied to measure the iron losses that occur during the unloaded (no-load) operation of the transformer.
LOAD (SHORT CIRCUIT) LOSS TEST
During the test, the low voltage windings should be short-circuited by applying the rated voltage to the high voltage terminals of the transformer. A load (short circuit) test is performed to determine the iron and copper loss at full load. The copper loss is used to find the efficiency of the transformer.
TRANSFORMER OIL TEST
With this test device, voltage is applied to the oil samples taken from the transformers and the maximum insulation (breakdown) voltages that the oils can withstand are reported.
TRANSFORMER HIGH VOLTAGE ENDURANCE TEST
With the HI-POT test device in our laboratory, we test the resistance of the transformer against high voltage by applying voltages up to 75,000 V (AC).
